A New Writing Adventure!

Hello friends!

Wow, it's been a long time since I last posted a blog! This year has been one for the ages. In November of 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage IIIC Colon Cancer and I spent most of the year fighting for my life. IN December of 2022 I underwent a nearly eight hour surgery to perform a colectomy and then I underwent a grueling 12 rounds of FOLFOX chemotherapy. While it has been the longest and hardest year of my life, I am so glad to say that on December 7th of this year my oncologist uttered those magic words, "You are cancer-free!"

I'm so thankful for everyone who has accompanied me and prayed for me on this journey. If you ever said a prayer for me or sent a text or message or gift or card, thank you. You have changed my life and I love you.

For real.

One of the gifts that has come out of this hard season is that I've felt a calling to write more and so I've taken up the discipline of writing a weekly column for the church I serve. The topics are wide-ranging and I thought I'd post them here! I've written twenty so far so I've got some catching up to do! I will post a new one every few days until we are caught up. God bless you and may your Holiday season be filled with rest and joy.
